El Open Journal System (OJS) le asigna automáticamente a cada artículo cargado, un código individual, el cual aparece en el URL del artículo, si un Editor se encuentra en la obligación de tener que reemplazarel pdf de un artículo ya publicado, el paso mas rápido podría ser eliminar el artículo ya publicado y, volver a cargar el nuevo archivo con toda la metadata del mismo, lo que haría que el sistema le asigne un nuevo código de identificación, y si el portal ya cuenta con generación de DOI, el sistema le otorgaría un nuevo número DOI, el cual tiene que cargarse en Crossref y podría ser rechazado por el sistema debido a que toda la metadata del mismo ya fue enviada anteriormente.
En otras ocasiones un editor crea un número de una revista, y luego de cargar los artículos se encuentra con la sorpresa de que los pdf no aparecen en el índice.
La solución sería solamente reemplazar el archivo pdf por uno nuevo o añadir el pdf a la metadata d cada artículo, de esta manera no se tendría que cargar nuevamente toda la metadata del artículo y se mantendría el número DOI del artículo original.
Aquí les doy los pasos a seguir por parte del Editor del la revista:
Usuario: Editor
Ingresar a Página de inicio del editor/a
Hacer clic en números anteriores
Hacer clic en el índice del número al que pertenece el articulo al que se cambiara el archivo.
Se verá la información del articulo a modificar: #NN Resumen
Hacer clic en EDICIÓN y se abrirá: #NN Edición
En el parrafo Maquetación hacer clic en ELIMINAR al ARCHIVO ubicado en Formato de la galerada.
En el párrafo Maquetación, marcar Cargar archivo a galerada, seleccionar el nuevo archivo a subir y cargar.
Se abrirá ventana: Editar una galerada de maquetación donde se muestra el nombre del archivo cargado, hacer click en guardar.
Verificar la carga abriendo el resumen y luego abrir el pdf.
De esta manera no hay que cargar nuevamente toda la metadata y no hay que realizar ningún cambio o tramite en el número DOI del artículo modificado.

The Latin America and the Caribbean Section of IFLA and the CIBU 2016
Dear colleagues
On behalf of the Latin America and the Caribbean Section of IFLA we would like to thank the honorable invitation to join the V CIBU 2016, International Congress of University Libraries (http://congreso.pucp.edu.pe/
Under the coordination of Eng. Jorge Solis and staff (PUC Peru), the event was an impeccable organization. Luis Ramirez (Universidad Cesar Vallejo), Eugenio Sotomayor (Universidad Austral de Chile) and Fernando Ardito (Universidad Peruana Cayetado Heredia) were responsible for a excellent programme.
Fernando, specifically, was in charge with the keynote speakers invitation and he put together a group of very good friends: Eloy Rodrigues from Portugal, Jesus Lau from Mexico, Malgorzata Lisowaska from Colombia Sueli Mara Ferreira of Brazil (IFLA LAC Chair).
The innovation, creativity and relevance of several activities being developed in several academic libraries in Argentina, Brasil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, Peru, Portugal and Uruguay were evident in all the papers presented, which will be available in PUCPeru repository briefly (http://repositorio.pucp.edu.
Also took place during the event, the opening of the National Digital Science Repository of Technology and Innovation from Peru, named ALICIA (Acceso Libre a la Scientific Información) that provides open access to intellectual heritage result of production in science, technology and innovation made in public sector entities or state funding (http: //alicia.concytec.gob. pe / VuFind /).
Congratulations to the Organizing Committee for the success of the event and lets see if the next VI CIBU 2017, at the Universidad Austral de Chile, we will have more and more participants from Latin America and the Caribbean.
